Cricket with Shak is a Melbourne based coaching service run by ICC Level 3 Coach Shak Prasad operating mainly from Parkville.
With an ICC Level 3 and Australian Level 2 coaching accreditation, along with additional sports and fitness certifications including an Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 1, he brings an holistic approach to coaching, to ensure that you become both physically and mentally prepared.
He has played and coached in New Zealand, Australia, England and India, and as a qualified umpire understands all aspects of the game and brings the latest coaching methods. With his experience and knowledge, Shak can identify immediate ways to improve your ability on the field. He can also advise on the right equipment you may need.
Achievements of note include development of an international player picked up by the Under 19 Samoan team, and multiple students fast tracked into the Cricket Wellington pathway program.
Shak has coached both our social and competitive teams, helping create a pathway for players with great potential to try a higher level of cricket. He has always shown a great level of patience with everyone, from total beginners to experienced players. Shak’s training sessions are always engaging and he always takes the time to work with players individually. By the end of the season, both of our teams finished 2nd in the league, something that would have been unimaginable without Shak’s support and guidance. Thank you Shak!
