Cricket with Shak is a Lower Hutt based cricket coaching service run by Shak Prasad. He currently plays and coaches for Naenae Old Boys Club and received the J.G. Aitken Cup for the Most Outstanding Performance in the 22/23 season after taking 8 wickets for 46 runs, and was instrumental in the success of the Vic Uni Lionesses in their last season.
With an ICC Level 3 (2019) and Australian Level 2 coaching accreditation, along with additional sports and fitness certifications including an Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 1, he brings an holistic approach to coaching, to ensure that you become both physically and mentally prepared.
He has played and coached in New Zealand, Australia, England and India, and as a NZ cricket umpire, he really understands all aspects of the game and brings the latest coaching methods. With his experience and knowledge, Shak can identify immediate changes to improve your ability on the field. He can also advise on the right equipment you may need, and has a range of used and new equipment to get you started.
Coaching is available for:

Coaching starts from $50 per hour and Shak is happy to have a chat to discuss your needs.
Shak has coached both our social and competitive teams, helping create a pathway for players with great potential to try a higher level of cricket. He has always shown a great level of patience with everyone, from total beginners to experienced players. Shak’s training sessions are always engaging and he always takes the time to work with players individually. By the end of the season, both of our teams finished 2nd in the league, something that would have been unimaginable without Shak’s support and guidance. Thank you Shak!
